Re-Examining Urban Poverty

Historically, Malaysia has demonstrated strong efforts in poverty eradication, especially in the context of rural poverty. Unfortunately the same amount of attention is absent in the discussion of urban poverty. With the rapid rates of urbanization in the recent years and the unique presence of Covid-19, the rates of the urban poor in the country have increased to a staggering amount.
