Our Founding Director, Dr. Abdul Razak had an engagement session with Suhail Shaheen, Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) Permanent Representative Designate to the United Nations and Head of the Taliban Political Office in Doha.
Dr Abdul Razak reiterated the critical concern surrounding girls' education in Afghanistan. He emphasized the urgency for an immediate and substantial concession to address the Taliban's restrictive school policies.
Bait Al Amanah (House of Trust) and the global community stand in solidarity, unwavering in our demand for the fundamental rights of girls' education to be upheld and respected in Afghanistan. Our collective aspiration is for the Taliban-led government to reconsider its decision to ban Afghan women from accessing education—a decision that is pivotal for empowering them as individuals and enabling them to make meaningful contributions to society.
We strongly believe that education is a cornerstone for progress, fostering a society where every individual, irrespective of gender, can thrive and contribute to the betterment of their community and nation.
