2022 was an exciting year for Bait Al Amanah. It was a year of growth, a year of making an impact and most importantly, a year of leaving lasting legacies of reforms for a better Malaysia.
It was certainly a positive year for Malaysia as well, and by and large, Malaysians as we said goodbye to repeated lockdown measures and a brighter future ahead. As the nation transitioned from the COVID-19 pandemic to endemic, many economic sectors reopened with domestic demand, tourism recovery and improvement in employment propelling year-on-year growth to 8.7%, the highest in 22 years.
All in all, it was an exceedingly fruitful year for our think tank as we continued to grow in making a greater impact on the nation and region. In the coming year, we look forward to more collaborations, partnerships and opportunities to propel valuable and in-depth insights regarding governance and democracy, economics, security, and issues of national importance. Moreover, we seek to continuously uphold and pursue the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals as an active member of the United Nations Global Compact, for a better and brighter future for the generations to come.
